ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Axel, a 27 year old informatics graduate from the University of Oslo with a master’s degree in Informatics: Design, Use, Interaction. I care about how people experience technology and I want to create digital solutions that include everyone.

In my master’s thesis, Tune in to Tech: From user experiences to design insight, I worked with people with deafblindness to explore how podcasts can be designed for everyone to enjoy. It taught me how real user stories can turn into design insights that actually make a difference.

I started out studying psychology but switched to informatics when I realized I wanted to build the tools people use, not just study how they think. Since then I have explored design, accessibility, cybersecurity and programming with Python, Kotlin, Java, SQL and Arduino.

Alongside my studies I have taught and examined courses in participatory design and user centered development at the University of Oslo. I have learned how to guide others through creative processes and how collaboration makes ideas grow stronger.

What motivates me is seeing people feel included and confident when they use technology. That is when I know the design works.
